Muscat: Oman is a country blessed with massive natural beauty and environmental diversity. Its enormous beauty attracts people from all over the world. The Sultanate's various tourist attractions,including fascinating coastline and mountain ranges, charming landscapes and historic civilization are the key factors that differentiate Oman from other tourist destinations in the region. Oman's coastal areas have a rich history, the Ministry of Tourism website says. "Al Wattih in Muscat Governorate is one of the first inhabited cities in the country. According to modern archaeological discoveries, humans settled in the area during the Stone Age more than 10,000 years ago. Some beaches are private - attached to beach resorts and hotels, or those neighboring military or government property. Some of the famous beaches of Oman includeMarjan, Bandar Jissah, Qurum, Aviation Beach, Shell Beach, Al Sawadi Beach, MutrahCorniche, Ras Al Hadd, and Al Bustan. Located in the Governorate of Muscat, Al Bustan Palace Hotel sprawls over the beach and overlooks the mountains that intertwine with nearby sands and beaches. These mountains lend the beach an unrivaled sense of privacy. The government of Oman is keen on promoting culture and civilization of the country through tourism facilities such as hotels, markets and restaurants. Muscat was named as the Capital of the Arab World in 2012, thanks to the remarkable tourism sector growth. Dave Maloon, a US tourist, expressed his excitement and happiness after boating at Al Bustan beach resort. "A visit to this country cannot be complete until a boat ride. Oman is the richest country in terms of natural beautyand compels tourists from all over the world to visit this place. The natural beauty here touches the soul and spirit, something only a true tourist can understand," the American visitor told Times of Oman. Monica Maloon,Dave's wife, told Times of Oman that she thoroughly enjoyed her maiden trip to the Sultanate."I am glad to see the natural beauty of Oman. I have always heard about Omani people, and their rich culture.Now I can say whatever I heard and realized was less, because Oman is much more than that. | |||
